Here at J. B. Long, Inc. we have been supplying quality structural steel and misc. iron details to the fabrication industry for 20 years. Our firm is certified under the NISD Quality Procedures Program since 1994. We are a total staff of 24 employees in southeastern Pennsylvania with 16 of our production employees holding certificates under the NISD IDC program. Also included is a copy of our Quality Procedures Program certificate, my Individual Detailer certificate, as well as an updated copy of our company policy statement, drafting organization, and our employee resumes. We too see the need for quality. A good steel detailer is your best line of defense against the onslaught of poor design drawings and impossible schedules. We primarily use SteelLogic (an AutoCAD based detailing package) to create our details, but we also use Tekla Structures. I hope this information will be of help to you.
